Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Had an appointment for 8:15am. Arrived around 8am and got through security within 5 minutes. Waited in the lobby for about 15 minutes, after which we were called in.
IO was a middle-aged blonde woman. After swearing us in, she asked for our IDs. She corrected the address that was on the petition (we had since moved and filed a change of address), asked why we moved and how much rent we paid.
She then asked to see my old passports and verified all my previous visas and entry stamps. She asked about my current job situation, and then my spouse's (while also checking for his I864). She then checked whether she had my medical stuff (which she did), and asked whether we had evidence of our relationship. We didn't have our album yet, but I printed out a blog post our photographer wrote about our wedding with plenty of pictures in it. I also gave her another personal document of which I have multiple copies.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Arrived 30 minutes early. Office is organized and things moved swiftly. My husband and I were called in by IO (early 60s white male) and were in his office for a grand total of perhaps 5 minutes. He was very formal, but not unfriendly. We were approved on the spot and he advised us of next steps (conditional greencard for 2 years, receive green card by mail within 2 weeks...).

We received the welcome package, notices of i-485 and i-130, and physical greencard less than a week later! Hurray!!

Good luck to everyone else.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had our interview scheduled at 2:15 PM. Arrived at 1:45 PM and were actually chilling out at a nearby Starbucks. And about 2:00 PM we enter the CIS Office. Security asks for Interview letter and IDs, we oblige. Before we knew it, we were allowed inside. A receptionist/desk clerk cordially invited us and asked us our interview letter and we gave it to him. He told that an officer will come out and call my name and then we will get into the interview room. So, we wait for a brief 10-15 mins while joking and answering some US Civics/History trivia which was being relayed on a large screen TV. People were called in at no particular order. And then da-da-dum! da-da-dum! My name was called by a middle aged officer who looked very serious. No greeting, no pleasantries, it was an awkward/intense walking through the secured corridor and into his office. He pointed out for us be seated (again, no vocal command). We got seated, not comfortably though. He began asking us "Do you promise to tell... read complete review
